This application was created as an aid to mushroom hunters, especially for those less experienced, and offers useful tools to the recognition and geolocation of fungi found.
The application contains, in addition to a brief introduction to the biology of mushrooms, a dichotomous table that allows, through the description of the taxonomy, to get a first criterion for classification of the species of the fungus was found, very simple and intuitive.
In addition to the dichotomous table, the application is provided with a photo gallery useful to the visual recognition of the more than 100 species of mushrooms described in its database. Touching the image of mushrooms you can open the descriptive form of the fungus itself, where you can obtain information on its taxonomy and its edibility.
Once found, the mushrooms can be stored to be able to consume in the future. That's why we added a guide on their conservation.
The interrogation of the database can also be done through a simple search engine.
The application is able to save the location of the fungus found via the GPS tracker accessible through the descriptive sheet of the fungus. The positions are stored in an internal database, from which you can then activate the mechanisms of discovery: the GPS navigator to return to the area of the discovery, and the radar for the final localization.
The saved position can also be exported in KML format, to be able to view in Google Maps, Google Earth and other mapping programs.
The application is completed by a complete and exhaustive guide and contact form, thanks to which it is possible to signal errors, inaccuracies or defects, or collaborate actively in the improvement and expansion of the database of mushrooms.
The 1.0 version has a database of more than 100 species of fungi, each of which corresponds to a photograph with a resolution of 600x400 pixels, and a card that describes it in detail.
The application has been optimized on tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7 "and tested on Samsung Galaxy Mini.
WARNING: The application aFungi Plus is a tool of pure consultation and can not and does not want to replace the experience in the recognition of fungi. If you are not sure about the edibility of a mushroom DO NOT PICK IT UP AND DO NOT EAT IT! The mushroom poisoning can be fatal or cause irreversible damage to the body.
